These are some of those people who are bored, walking in circles. Perhaps they expect this to change but they do not work on it. They let themselves loose over time. MIRACLES 7 Reboots is a summer exhibition, of those moments when one is resting, overwhelmed by the heat and stuck to the couch.
This exhibition brings together 6 emerging artists and one art collective to rethink their conceptual framework. During these days, Dumbo Arts Center will be used as a platform to investigate what is a summer show.

REPETITITS is an intercontinental art collective that works with propositions of collaborative itinerant work-in-progress projects that investigate the specificities generated by mobility and interchange, through different mediums and procedures, that reflect the heterogeneity of the group, formed by visual artists, experimental musicians, video makers, performers.
The REPETITITS are Antonio Sobral, Dácio Pinheiro, Dagmar Brown, Eric Markowski, Flora Rebollo, Francisco Ivan Russo, Manuela Sobral, María Luque, Mariette Auvray, Power Paola, Rodrigo Ortega, Ruli Moretti, Samuel Trifot, Sophia Knapp, Stefan Fähler, based on Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Mexico, United States.
rem·i·nis·cence is a sound installation composed by voice improvisation on phrases, words and songs that were created during the period of immersion in which the collective was formed. The phrases and expressions are a result of spontaneous repetition experimentation on word sonorities, intonations, pronunciation in different languages, onomatopoeia, noise.
These phrases were resumed and recorded afterwards, detached from their original contexts, as a synthesis made of leftovers, in a flow of non-linear and floating senses.
SAMIR RAMDANI - Rechargez ! - 2012

Born in 1979 in Privas (France), lives and works in Paris.
Samir Ramdani is a video artist. Two years ago, through the Pavillon (Residency of Le Palais de Tokyo), he made Broken Leg a film shot in south central Los Angeles. Currently he's working with Eva Barto on a second movie in Los Angeles , with the support of The French Institute.
Rechargez ! is about the UGC Bercy cinema (Paris) broke down on a picture, a still of the action-movie World Invasion : Battle Los Angeles.
DORIAN GAUDIN - Ari & Antonia - 2011 and Saâdane & Sarah - 2012

Born in 1986 in Paris (France), lives and works in New York.

Dorian Gaudin is a sculpture and video artist. After finishing the Fresnoy (France) he decided to move to New York and start a business.
Ari & Antonia and Saâdane & Sarah are two videos with an identical plot but a different protocol. For this exhibition, Dorian proposed an installation diptych of these works.
EVA BARTO - Success - 2012

Eva Barto is a visual artist. She works around conquest issues through installations and curatorial approaches. Currently, she is in Los Angeles working on a video project with Samir Ramdani.
Success shows a logo on a shiny shield that tends to provoke an apparent maitrise of the future, a possible conquest.
LOUP SARION - Smooth Like An Alibi - 2012

Born in 1987 in Paris (France), lives and works in Paris.
Loup Sarion is an emerging mixed-media artist. Currently, he is working on new pieces in New York City.
Smooth like an alibi is a set of three new works designed in relation to hot summers in New York. Starting from insulation raw materials, he builds soft interiors by assembling and agglutinating, in which the only thing to do is to look at your own image being reflected. This assemblage, named Smooth like an alibi, plays, in differents ways, with luxury and poverty, shining and blur, silver and plastic. Like in his previous works, Smooth... brings special attention to the anecdotes surrounding the exhibition context.
CRISTINE BRACHE - 576-ORGY - 2010

Born in 1984 in Miami (Florida), lives and works in Shenzen (China).
Cristine Brache is a poet and multimedia artist from Miami, Florida. She is currently researching abandoned spaces in the industrial area of the Pearl River Delta in China for her latest video project.
Reboot your self. Call 576-ORGY and reprogram your desire. Transpose your deepest longings and fears onto everyday objects. Activate a better Y-O-U.
Synopsis:
Tranquil music and the soft, sensual voice of an online jewelry sales operator guides her callers through deconstruction and reconstruction of the self. She talks her callers through a hypnotic-like trance while sublimating their fears onto the objects she sells.

PIOTR BOCKOWSKI - Nekama Database - 2012
Born in 1983 in Szczecin (Poland), lives and works in Shenzen (China).
Nekama is a textual database about possible twin sisters. Fill the survey as a pattern form of your twin. Once your application is submit, answers will be filtered through the Nekama database in order to generate an initial literal simulation on demand. You will receive an email from our agent, describing the first breeding sequence of your twin. Further exchange of messages will develop a script of your twin boot-breed mutation.
