Marci MacGuffie examines simultaneous forces in nature, embracing all energetic forces as more than arbitrary occurrences. Her ferromagnetic installations, paintings and drawings have been shown both nationally and internationally. Most recently, her interactive installations were included in a book published by Natural World Museum and Palace Press 2007. Her piece, Escape Clause, 2008 is currently traveling and is in Singapore as part of iTokyo, Creative Korea and Ars Electronica. Born Chicago, IL, MacGuffie studied at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (01), RISD (00) and Cornell University (95). She lives and works in Brooklyn.
