Born in Trinidad in 1964, Denyse Thomasos immigrated to Toronto in 1970. After receiving a B.A. from the Department of Art and Art History of the University of Toronto at Mississauga, she earned her M.F.A. in painting in 1989 from Yale University. She currently lives and works in New York.
